Here's a little trip in pictures for you of our first real
family vacation. (Yes, EVER! lol Like living in Italy wasn't enough of a trip.) We left on Wednesday, March 9th for San Antonio,
Texas. It was about a 5 hour drive and we travelled through several scenic towns, such as Fredericksburg. The first 8 pictures
are of our day at Sea World, March 10th. We had a blast and got in for free! (Thank you Anheuser-Busch for honoring our military
and their families!) We also went to Lackland Air Force Base to reminisce (ok and to laugh at the poor souls in basic training
and Security Forces tech school! (where we met!) ) The next day, March 11th (landan's bday!) we went into San Antonio, visiting
the Alamo (no pics of that), the courthouse we were married in and the famed San Antonio Riverwalk. We took in a movie that
evening and headed home March 12th.

The picture of the kids and the two pictures of the
reddish building below are from the courtyard of the courthouse where Stephen & I were married 7 years ago. We took the
kids inside and walked around a bit. It was a fun experience since the last time we were there we were childless and 18/19!

And last, but not least, pictures of our handsome
birthday boy and his spritely little sister. These are also from March 11th (his bday..sigh..) and all but one were taken
in our hotel room. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our big (way too big!) boy!

Ok well, here's a funny little story about that big whale
below. We went to the Shamu show and, of course, Landan wanted to sit in the splash zone. Most of you know me (Jolene) and
that I hate to mess up my makeup or hair for anything.. *grin* But yes, I agreed, what is Sea World without the Splash Zone?
So we sat.. in the SECOND row of it! Oh my goodness... Splash doesn't cover it, perhaps multiple tidal waves??? They got us
3 times and we were drenched from head to toe, all the way to our underwear! (Lily was NOT happy with us that we sat there.
Nope, not at all!)
All of the below pictures (including the courthouse pics) were taken in downtown San Antonio
on March 11th, Landan's 6th birthday! The next few pictures were taken from (and on) the boat ride we were on along the famed
Riverwalk. (A place Stephen and I spent MANY hours together when we first met 7 1/2 years ago!)
This interesting looking Bell structure is actually on a tiny tiny
island along the Riverwalk. It's the site of numerous weddings throughout the year in San Antonio! Nothing like your own private
*island* on your special day!
